Summer 2012

Big summer project was the backyard patio.  We refinished the covered patio, lots of overhead work sanding and then staining (hard on the back/arms).  Ground down all the concrete, dug some big holes for a couple of post and built a cantilevered awning.  Tunneled to the house to hook into gas and electric.  Built all the gabion baskets, filled them with 10 tons of rocks and then with some help from my friends poured concrete counter and bench tops.  Back filled the benches with 12 tons of organic soil for mama's garden next year.  Thanks to help from dad with some of the construction.  I've still got some finish work with decorative doors on the BBQ grill and need to slot in a mini fridge.  Next spring is the sprinkler system and sod.

A few teeth were lost over the summer and replaced with adult teeth.  Check the monster face.

We spent a week in Crested Butte.  We bought lift tickets and road the chair up and pedaled down.
Ella and Hanna did summer swim team and lots of spare time at the pool playing.
Bike ride in the neighborhood

Quick weekend trip out to the GC, always spectacular.  Anita and I made a day hike to see the Colorado.
