Sweet Potato and family come to visit

We had a good weekend seeing the sites with our good friends from 'Biscuits and Bacon' and strangely enough there was not a single bike ride all weekend. First stop after getting off the plane was Multnoma Falls. After two Weeks of sub freezing temps all the ice made the view spectacular. We also went to see the Bonneville dam and fish hatchery where Ella is still petrified of the large sturgeon (none of the other smaller kids were).

Day two was the McMinnville Air Museum with the Sprucegoose now resides, I remember seeing it in San Jose. It was a spectacular place with an Air and Space museum and lots of really cool planes and rockets, they are planning to get a space shuttle as well. But most importantly we got to see Santa there by the B52.

Day three was a trip to the beach. Lots of shells and broken sand dollars to find as well as all these dried out Jelly Fish on the beach. Hanna and Sweat Potato were playing all weekend.

This last week momma made a ginger bread house with the kids. Grandma and Grandpa are coming on Christmas Eve arriving after the kids go to bed. Works out that it was the cheapest ticket and better yet it will make a great Christmas morning surprise.

Figured it out

I have finally figured out some of my OR allergies. Too bad it took bring a Noble Fir home to find out I'm allergic too them. I've been sneezing all day since we brought it home. Only 19 days till Christmas and 20 till its out the door!

We have mostly homemade ornaments. Here Ella paints clay that we cut out with cookie cutters.

Everett sacked out at the top of the steps. A dangerous fall if he rolls over in his sleep.

We took a trip to the beach. I surfed and the kids went to see the seal at an old aquarium, wasn't very pleasant to the nose. I saw something with a dark dorsal fin, maybe a baby dolphin, and seals in the water while I was surfing. On the way home we finally hit the tourist logging camp restaurant. The statue scared Everett badly and it was raining some while we were climbing around on the old equipment.

Halloween

We had a happy Halloween!

Anita made these super cool masks for the big kids. They were big paper mache heads that Anita painted. The girls didn't miss a house trick or treating. Everett only wanted to get a piece of candy and eat it, then get another one and eat it right away.

Here the girls play with the masks before they are completed.

A few Pics

Boo!!!!!!!!!!
We carved our pumpkins tonight.

Last weekend we went east to Hood River for harvest activites and hit the Pumpkin Patch.

We took bikes and road around some. Great views of the mountains covered in snow. The kids also found a great tree for climbing.

Everett was always taking Hanna's bike so we had to get another bike. That means that Ella gets a new bike then Hanna got Ella's bike and Everett got Hanna's bike. Ella has mastered her gears and hand brakes.

Look out, they are over there!

Ella is back on the road.

It can be difficult to wake up from a nap.

Scooter crashes are also painful. Momma wasn't around for comfort. All boo-boo's heal and get better though.

The exciting sport of Fishing!!!

We spent a couple hours on the boat fishing with no luck. Then a few quick casts from the boat ramp landed each of the kids a fish. See Hanna's up on the end of her pole?

OR update

Long time no post. We celebrated momma's birthday. It was a store bought cake, daddy doesn't have much time to bake.
Ella also had her first day of school two weeks ago. See the love in our family? The next photo in this series they are taring into each other and screaming! School has been an easy adjustment for Ella. For momma it means she has to actually wake the kids up to get out the door on time to get out the door and get Ella to school on time. Ella also seems to now be 100% again with no collar bone issues.
We also did some fishing with J and H on Hoo-Dee-Hoo's new boat. I need to get a fishing license so we can really get after it.
We also got together with our old Israel neighbors at the skate park. Everett was shredding with his old buddy Brogan.

It's not Daddy this time...

Daddy is not the one hurt this time. Ella is taken to following her daddy's lead (not necessarly a good thing) and is out of commission for a few weeks because of a broken clavicle. She is a trooper!!! If you play hard long enough like we do its bound to happen. Funny that it happened with daddy over a thousand miles away and not around to instigate this kind of event. Guess she was just trying to take up the slack.

Momma had to take care of this one as we were mid transition to Oregon. I drove a u-haul up last week. Anita and the kids flew up this week. We are now in a new home for about six months.
Ella starts kindergarten here on the 8th of Sept, stay posted. After 2 months of being in the swing of things in NM we now need to do the same in Or. The Air show is this weekend, we can go surfing, look at waterfalls, take hoo-dee-hoo's boat out for a ride, etc...
