Today was the first holiday of Passover for the Jews. It made for a very quite day in the old city of Jerusalem. We went and walked the stations of the cross instead of tomorrow on Good Friday when it will be absolutely packed. Security was higher than normal but the city was empty. We were running a bit late after a morning surf session and getting organized. Unfortunatly the church of Sepulchre closed at 4:00 so we didn't see the last 4 stations today. Here are all the stations for you to see if you’re interested.

Station 1: Jesus is condemned to death.

Station 2: Jesus takes up the Cross and a man sells some rugs. As this is a major tourist destination the old city is primarily small shops.

Station 3: Jesus falls under the cross for the first time.

Station 4: Jesus meets his mother and a man sells underware and socks. Lots of people also live in the old city and do daily shopping as well.

Station 5: Simon the Cyrenian is forced to carry the Cross.

Station 6: Veronica Wipes the sweat from Jesus' face.

Station 7: Jesus falls for the second time.

Station 8: Jesus consoles the women of Jerusalem and Ella strikes a pose in a family portrait.

Station 9: Jesus falls for the third time.

Station 10: Jesus is stripped of his garments. From here everything is in this giant multi room church built around other churches by the name of
The Church of the Sepulchre. The pics are better in the link.

Station 11: Jesus is nailed to the cross.

Station 12: Jesus dies on the cross

Station 13: Jesus is taken down from the cross. Lots of folks come and rub and kiss this stone.

Station 14: Jesus is laid in the tomb. The tomb is another small chapel inside the church. The first picture is the entrance and the second is the best I could do of the tomb inside, its a very small space.
