Happy Easter

We didn't make it to Jerusalem f0r Good Friday. Didn't want to deal with mega crowds, shoulder to shoulder and small kids. Instead we went to Caesarea and drove up through Mt Carmel forest. Caesarea has a long history of a port in Israel back to King Herod and the Romans.

For Easter I took Sunday off work and we went to mass here in Tel Aviv old city of Yafa. It is funny to have to take a day off of work for it (work week is Sunday to Thursday) and the Jewish Shabbat is Sun down Friday to Sun Down Saturday. After mass we went to a friends house for an Easter lunch of Hot Dogs and then an Easter Egg hunt. 4 families all with small kids and everyone had a great time.
Its been hot as well in the 90s and the Beach is the best way to deal with that. It was also Purim last weekend with a big street carnival out in front of the hotel. This is a dress up party holiday.
Other good news we confirmed our house in Ashdod. The negotiation took place 3 weeks after we said we wanted this house and got a bit tense for a day. Hopefully we move in next week and end our hotel stay at 5 weeks.
