Chandler to San Diego is a 6hr drive so we decided to make a road trip and three day weekend.
We stayed on the beach in Del Mar. We didn't spend as much time on the beach as we thought we would. Winter time and short days. This did play to our favor at Sea World with no crowds or long lines! Dad though was up at sun rise for a surf session every day. However Everett looks ready to go!
Everybody loved Sea World but Everett. It was too loud. He and momma watched the shows from up high while the girls and I sat in the soak zones. Dolphins, Sea Lions and Killer Whales!
We held a legless lizard and petted a 6' python. Ella petted a dolphin then it opened its mouth looking for food and they have a great big row of teeth that scared the heck out of Hanna. Ella also hit the minimum height requirement of 42" to ride the rides. She loved the river raft ride. We also did the big roller coaster but she didn't like the down hills on that one.
We did two days in Sea World and on day in the Wild Animal Park. We had great weather all weekend even though the forecast was rain. It did finally start but not until we were rolling out of town Sunday afternoon.
Here the kids (and mom and dad) reap the rewards for hard play.
